Attention all students: The website is being updated with new information for the 2010-2011 school year!
War and Genocide - 2010/2011
Welcome, Holocaust and Genocide Studies students! I have been teaching this course for a number of years now, and it is a subject matter that I find very interesting. This is a college-prep level elective, which means that it won't be a walk in the park, but at least I do not regularly assign homework in my electives...so that's a plus for you! There are many things on this website that will assist you in being a successful HGS student.
Use the links above to:
- Print out a copy of the "Homework Grid"
- View the annual calendar to keep up to date with assignments and assist in long-range planning
- Go the "The American Vision" companion website - the entire textbook is available online!!!
- Read a description of what FRQs and DBQs are all about
- Read tips about essay construction - history essays differ somewhat from English essays...you'll see...
- See the current year's grading policy and course objectives
- Print out a "Film Permission Slip" for viewing R-rated films at various points throughout the year

I must dial in to my voice mailbox to check for messages. Honestly, sometimes a few days can pass before I check my messages...so please don't hesitate to send me an email letting me know that you would appreciate a phone call.
