Attention all students: No news is good news!
AP US History II - 2009/2010
Welcome, AP US History students! This is where my first period students will find most of the tools they will need to be successful in the daily "grind" that AP can sometimes seem like. (It's not really that bad, but it is a lot of work!)
Use the links above to:
- Print out chapter terms from "The American Pageant"
- View the annual calendar to keep up to date with assignments and assist in long-range planning
- Go the "The American Pageant" companion website
- Read a description of what FRQs and DBQs are all about
- Read tips about essay construction - history essays differ somewhat from English essays...you'll see...
- See the rubrics for FRQs and DBQs so you know up front how you'll be graded and what I'll be looking for
- See the current year's grading policy and course objectives
- Print out a "Film Permission Slip" for viewing R-rated films at the end of the year
- Review your summer reading assignments

The best opportunities to reach me are in periods 3, 5, 7, and 9, and before or after school. Making an initial contact via email is a great way to make sure that you get a hold of me. I will gladly return your email with a phone call, if you prefer. My phone is 856-461-6100 extension 3528. Please note that nothing "beeps" in my room to let me know that I have messages. I must dial in to my voice mailbox to check for messages. Honestly, sometimes a few days can pass before I check my messages...so please don't hesitate to send me an email letting me know that you would appreciate a phone call.
